I’m going to try to do this every Friday. Some common sense thoughts and questions that pop into my head, but there’s not enough there for a blog. I hope you enjoy this.
If this World Wide Pandemic, Covid Virus, is so bad why, in my very wide circle of friends, do I know of only one positive case, no hospitalizations or deaths among personal friends? I’m just saying. During a bad flu season I generally have five or ten close friends who miss work for a week or so.
If this “Pandemic” is so bad why are they counting gunshot and traffic accident deaths as Covid? Why are 96% of the “Covid” deaths counted a combination of Covid and some other cause? In my former line of work I was assigned to sit in on autopsies, occasionally, and testify in Coroner inquests. I do not recall the end result of any inquest being, “influenza and a single gunshot to the head.”
On a less serious note, I have been stopped by families of geese walking across major streets. I sometimes see a dead goose on the side of the road, obviously the victim of a car vs goose traffic accident. My question is, Why do geese walk across roads? They can fly! Cars have been around for over a hundred years. No city goose, currently alive, is unaware of automobiles! If I was a goose and saw a large metal object traveling at me faster than I was able to walk, I would fly into the air to avoid it. Is anyone aware of why this occurs.
How is it that what some, not all, scientists believe has locked us down and crippled our economy, our right to attend church, school and movies etc? How long will/can this last? Do you believe it should continue?
Why do some people speed up to stop you from getting into the left lane, and then pace the car you were trying to pass?
Do vertically striped clothes really make you look slimmer?
Do horizontally striped clothes accentuate your weight, heavy or slim?
Does everybody really hate the rich as many politicians imply? If a person does hate the rich does that person purposely stay in a low paying job?
Does washing your car cause it to rain within 24 hours?
How can the political party that says we should “Follow the science” and thus stay in the house during the pandemic also endorse males who identify as female competing against biological females in high school sports? Does science decree that you are what you feel?
Why is the party that often complains the sitting president is not acting presidential get away with selling t-shirts that read, “Will you shut up man” (A quote of what their presidential candidate said to the sitting president on a nationally televised debate). Is “Will you shut up man” presidential?
Should there be an age limit for politicians? Should there be term limits for politicians?
Does anybody recall seeing “Be kind, please rewind” stamped on rented items- does it make you a legitimate “Baby Boomer” if you did see that? Did you rewind every time?
Should people be punished for destroying statues in public parks? If so, what would be an appropriate punishment?
Should looters be punished? Should they be charged with burglary? Should the property owners be compensated or given discount loans to rebuild or repair?

When a politician reaches the age of 80 they should be tested for dementia or maybe ALL politicians should be tested!!!!
Sort of an eye for an eye thing huh, I like it- not sure if I follow the dementia thing, I would agree if they’re showing signs. I was going to add to mine that I should have gone into politics instead of police work, then I could have avoided mandatory retirement.

Phil, If you don’t know of anyone who has contracted the virus, consider yourself fortunate. “Masking” shouldn’t be a political issue, as far as I’m concerned. It’s a matter of respecting others…and yourself. I just don’t understand why people have to be so selfish…I don’t like them either, but it’s a very minor inconvenience in the grand scheme of things. Instead, due to cavalier attitudes, we will now face a entire winter and spring of ongoing nonsense. I want my grandkids to lead a normal life. I want to lead a normal life. Put the mask on, folks…and let’s get this over with!!!
Mary did you read the blog?- There are many doctors with scientific proof- that are risking their careers, because it is political. They are censored and threatened with dismissal because they voice their views. I hate being called selfish for having an opinion that differs. If I believed the masks were effective I would be all over it. Since when, in America, have we censored medical professionals with a differing view. Isn’t that how we learn, or used to learn. A group of “Experts” knew the Earth was flat and the sun orbited around the Earth.” The virus is 1/1000th the diameter of a human hair. The mask can not stop it. The mask is useless. In the beginning Fauci, before he was counseled, said the mask was useless against the virus and the only purpose for using it would be to make people feel safer. Half the calls I received before I retired were from people who had “drank the Kool Aid” and wanted to report kids playing sports, or people walking hand in hand.
A large portion of my other calls were due to an increase in suicide attempts, many successful, and depression calls. The increase being due to loss of jobs due to covid protocol, loneliness, anxiety. I want my kids to live a normal life. I want to live a normal life.
I have done a lot of research on this. Many epidemiologists are saying that the lockdown is prolonging the problem because patients coming out of a lockdown will not have had the opportunity to build up any immunity to the virus and will start the chain over again.
This is supposed to be a pandemic. How many people do you know who have been hospitalized? How many who have died? I hope none, I suspect very few.
I can tell you I am aware of a lot more people who are dead from suicide since the pandemic/protocol. I can tell you of a lot of people who have lost their jobs due to the protocol. There are also thousands (Who I don’t know, but one friend is very close) who have lost (Pre protocol) successful businesses due to the protocol, do these lives matter?
Geese usually take off from the water by running across the surface and flapping their wings. When they are startled, Canada geese can fly straight up from the water like dabbling ducks. To land, the goose holds its wings out straight and skids onto the land or water. A goose is a grazing animal and grazers walk as they graze. Another reason why geese walk is because their babies are not capable of flight until up to 10 weeks after birth. This info is from google.
