I am going to try to talk about the recent presidential election, and the reaction to it, and keep politics out of it. What I mean by that is I would like to just talk about the reactions and ask will they help, or hurt, the country? As you will see, I feel they could be very dangerous.
I am very aware, as I expect you are, that recently our country experienced nationwide protests, riots and other civil disobedience by hundreds of thousands of people who said they were upset about a videotaped in custody death of a prisoner in Minneapolis MN. The riots, that the main stream media called “Mostly peaceful protests” caused millions of dollars of property damage, destroyed monuments, left thousands of people injured and some killed. This trend grew to a point where any police shooting, for any reason, resulted renewed riots. A man chasing police in Philadelphia comes to mind. The man had a knife and was going after officers, who eventually did shoot him. Mostly peaceful protests resulted causing millions of dollars of damage, numerous injuries, burned police cars and 30 injured officers in one night including a sergeant who was intentionally run down by a pick up truck.
I am concerned that many of the people who took part in those protests/riots are hearing the main stream media, some outlets thought to be conservative, and the Democratic Party making statements confirming that Joe Biden is the president elect, and he is not. I don’t say this out of pettiness, or because I’m a deplorable. I say this because the election is not settled. Some votes have not been tabulated. Many votes are being contested. There is no officially declared winner, thus there is no “President Elect.”
In a recent interview Fox News Sunday Anchor, Chris Wallace, corrected President Trump’s Health Secretary Alex Azar by saying “He’s the president elect sir” speaking of Biden. Wallace repeated that when Azar attempted to complete the point he had been making.
A web article in The Guardian quotes Georgia Secretary of State, Brad Raffensperger, as saying, “Trump’s election fraud claims are hurting our state.” So I guess he should stop defending himself?
A written summary of an NBC News Piece out of Philadelphia, PA included, “The Trump campaign’s appeal, filed Friday, is one of at least five pending cases in which Trump or Republicans are trying to throw out certain ballots or trying to upend Biden’s victory in Pennsylvania by more than 80,000 votes.” I, again, am alarmed at this irresponsible journalism. If they had written that a suspected offender was guilty prior to a conviction they would be sued, but they are declaring Biden won by 80,000 votes before those votes are verified legally.
In an Associated Press article written by Marc Levy he writes, “The moves (by Trump lawyers) are among a flurry of activity by Republicans, including in the courts and the State Legislature, to try and deny a victory to Biden in Pennsylvania, mirroring similar efforts in other battleground states where Trump lost.
In another Associated Press article MaryClaire Dale wrote of, “President elect Biden.” Later in the article she said Biden won Pennsylvania by 80,000 votes and garnered 80 million votes nationwide. These votes are not certified and are being contested as we speak.
These writers can do it the correct way. I found Associated Press articles documenting murder cases in which they are careful to say suspected, alleged and all of the words that let the reader know that the case is not decided.
I found an article by Marc Levy that documents trials for 6 Pennsylvania parolees who have been charged with murder. He goes on to say the state “alleges” he knows better than to convict them on paper prior to the courts. I have documented above where he does give factual credence to numbers that are not confirmed in this election.
The Trump case concerns more than one state. Arizona, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin have anomalies. Trump’s lawyers have accumulated thousands of pages of affidavits. In televised hearings they brought several “whistleblowers” forward who had many interesting stories that I thought were compelling. A viral video that purportedly shows hidden boxes containing ballots brought from under a table in Georgia after election judges and members of the press were told to leave the room is worth looking into, isn’t it?
I don’t know if you heard, but thousands of votes in Michigan were switched due to a dominion software “glich.” That software was used in many more jurisdictions. Shouldn’t we be sure of our election?
Many of the affidavits are election judges reporting not being allowed to inspect ballots or being overruled on disqualifying illegal ballots.
If the election was stolen shouldn’t all of America be up in arms? If any of Trumps many allegations are accurate shouldn’t he get a hearing?
Our press that is so concerned with how offenders are treated has no interest in allegations that a presidential election might have been stolen. Did you see coverage of the hearings on the main stream media? Did they break into your show?
My strong fear is that if Trump wins his appeal millions of Americans are going to be blindsided. They have been hearing since the election about what “President Elect Biden” is doing. Many of the millions of people who are not following this, because it is not being covered, are the same one’s who were rioting a few months ago. I hope there won’t be problems, but I don’t feel optimistic.
