A FUN DAY OUT!

I had a lot of fun last weekend. My brother, Paul, and I went out to a car show in Sycamore, IL, on our bikes to meet up with my nephew (Paul’s son), his son and his son’s fiance’. The ride out was about an hour and a half in farm country- for me, the best kind of ride.

My brother just bought a Harley Davidson trike and I ride a 2006 Heritage Softail. I forgot to take pictures on the road (so what else is new). So here’s one of my bike in the garage and one of a bike similar to Paul’s

We also saw a lot of beautiful cars. The show was in the downtown area and they closed off streets and some parking lots for about three large blocks.

They had old cars:

They had older cars:

They had very old cars:

And they also had a few unique vehicles:

I might die sooner if they promise me I can ride in a hearse like this!

We walked around for about two hours and didn’t see half of the cars out there. I had a fantastic time and I’ll probably be back at the Sycamore Car Show next year. My nephew tells me it gets bigger every year.

  1. My Dad sold hearses, limos, jeeps, etc. Many times we went to school in all three items mentioned. Going to Illinois State University Dad and Mom, and me went to Normal in a hearse. I fell asleep in the back. When I sat up from my nap you should have seen the look on the face of the car we were passing! She looked like she was going to faint.
