WELFARE! (Can be sung to the tune of DOWNTOWN BY Petula Clark in 1964)

I wrote this song when Biden was president, but, unfortunately, the song still makes sense if you consider the “sanctuary states and cities” that are welcoming illegal aliens and giving them more tax dollars than they give veterans, needy citizens, and retirees. Those who can afford it are fleeing these areas and leaving the tax burden created by foolish political moves and corruption to those who could barely survive before the foolishness began. Unfortunately, when they leave many of them continue to vote as they did in the states they deserted!

I owned a small (Four bay) mechanical repair shop before it got terrible, but it was bad even then. I needed a business license, paid extra “business” taxes and my portion of social security and Medicare for my four employees. I gladly worked 80-hour weeks and gave myself a small salary while putting whatever profits the business made back in to pay for inventory, tools, and the new diagnostic equipment that was necessary to properly diagnose the new model cars and small trucks.  Currently, politicians are talking about billions and trillions in spending rather than the hundreds of millions they were spending in the 70’s and 80’s.

Well, whatever your politics, here’s my two cents worth!

A view of tents set up on a sidewalk in Los Angeles, representing urban homelessness.

When you are broke because of government blokes you go on

A man giving to a homeless woman on an Istanbul street, capturing urban generosity.

WELFARE! WELFARE!

When businesses close because the guys that we chose are changing all the rules

WELFARE!

Look at all the politicians begging for your votes now!

They’re the ones who made it bad with rules and regulations, we didn’t need!

Survival’s much tougher now, we have limited options and limited jobs

We’re on WELFARE! We didn’t choose this path, WELFARE! We’re taking it in the A$$, WELFARE! Small businesses closing each day.

If you’re a person with pride, but all your options subside you go on WELFARE! WELFARE!

The price of groceries is rising with paychecks same sizing check out WELFARE! WELFARE!

Look at all the people who are living in the street now!

They would like to have some jobs, but options are so bleak now!

Can we survive?

Our lives are much tougher now-

‘Cause the governments entered where it should not be

We’re on WELFARE!

We can’t afford to eat

WELFARE!

We’re taking it to the street

WELFARE!

While public “servants” are counting their dough!

Thanks for visiting, I hope you enjoyed it!

  1. English.
This song highlights the struggles of small business owners and the impact of government policies on everyday citizens. It’s frustrating to see how political decisions can lead to economic hardships for hardworking people. The focus on welfare as a last resort shows the desperation many feel in the current system. Why do politicians continue to prioritize spending over addressing the real issues faced by small businesses and citizens? WordAiApi стал ещё мощнее. Готовы получать качественные уникальные статьи?
